Following the success of our 2024 retreat, we are excited to return to Munga Plains in September 2025 and April 2026 for a series of unforgettable Wellbeing Retreats. These retreats offer the chance to immerse yourself in the African wilderness and culture, while practicing yoga, breathwork, and meditation in the serene yoga ‘shala’—a sanctuary with sweeping views of the vast plains. Each retreat is complemented by wholesome, locally sourced meals that nourish both body and soul.
We’re partnering with a diverse group of inspirational wellbeing teachers from around the world, each offering their own unique retreat experience. Every program is a blend of personal growth, relaxation, and deep connection to the beauty of Africa, ensuring a one-of-a-kind adventure.
Journey Highlights:
Your adventure begins in Zimbabwe, with a visit to Victoria Falls—one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World—where you’ll explore the falls and the vibrant local town. From there, we drive to Botswana, stopping for a boat cruise on the Chobe River and enjoying a local shopping experience in Kasane.
Once at Munga Plains, we’ll explore the majestic Chobe National Park, home to one of the world’s largest concentrations of elephants, as well as lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and antelopes. You’ll also have the chance to visit a local school and village, take scenic walks, and participate in cultural activities, creating a deep connection to both nature and the local community.
Our accommodations at Munga Plains are in glamping-style tents, each featuring en-suite shower rooms for your comfort. The tents are nestled in the breathtaking landscape, where the sounds of the bush create a peaceful atmosphere. The retreat’s culinary experience is equally nourishing, with healthy, nutritious dishes inspired by local flavours and traditions.
This retreat is a unique opportunity to recharge and reconnect with yourself and nature, far away from the distractions of everyday life.
A Typical Day at Munga Plains:
Morning: Yoga, meditation, or breathwork in the tranquil yoga shala.
Mid-Morning: Brunch, followed by free time to relax or swim.
Afternoon: Lunch, safari, nature walk, or a cultural experience.
Evening: Sunset yoga, breathwork, or meditation, followed by dinner, fireside gatherings, storytelling, or traditional dance.
